I'm lucky enough that I teach a lunchtime drama club at Chrishall Holy Trinity & St. Nicholas C of E Primary School. In ordinary circumstances, I go there once a week, however during the summer term we've been in lockdown so have worked continuously online over Zoom. Six very talented children worked so hard on a Radio Play with me this term which is something they've never done before. We rehearsed over Zoom each week and arranged who was doing which sound effect, then the children recorded all their own parts at home and sent them over to me. Due to unforeseen circumstances one child wasn't able to take part so I stepped in as the other Narrator (apologies everyone!) The finished product is here for your listening pleasure and I think they've done a marvellous job. A huge well done to all the children and to the parents for all the recordings and emailing everything over - you're all amazing! Enjoy!!

Interactive Murder Mystery

This summer I wasn't able to run a summer workshop in person as I usually would, so instead, I opted to work online via zoom. It worked a treat! I thought a murder mystery theme would work really well so I used the amazing murder mystery packs from drama notebook which were brilliant. The children worked so hard all week and we had a great time. I screen recorded as much footage as I could and have created two short films from both age groups. I'm no editor by any stretch of the imagination and the footage isn't the best quality, however that wasn't the point. The point was that the children would have fun and work on their improvisational and spontaneity skills whilst having lots of fun and stretching their imagination. All the dialogue is improvised with a very small amount of rehearsal and some direction from me. I think they all did amazingly well and I'm so proud. I hope you enjoy!
